BREAKING : Palisades Fire Engulfs Los Angeles, Multiple Structures Threatened

A brush fire is currently raging in Los Angeles, specifically in the Pacific Palisades area. The fire, known as the Palisades Fire, has grown to approximately 2,920 acres, with structures under immediate threat. Mandatory evacuation orders are in place for areas northeast of Merrimac Road, west to Topanga Canyon Blvd, and south to PCH.

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) has deployed over 250 firefighters to combat the blaze, with multiple agencies assisting. The fire is spreading rapidly due to extreme wind conditions, with winds expected to peak overnight.

Evacuation Centers and Information includes the following;

Westwood Recreation Center_ (1350 S Sepulveda Blvd, 90025) is open as an evacuation center and accepts small animals.

Pierce College_ (6201 Winnetka Ave, 91367) is designated as a large animal evacuation center.
